To provide a destination to create art activities that resonate with the community, being inclusive and welcoming, while ensuring the value of work is evident. To educate Kingman, and the surrounding communities on the importance of supporting the arts through engagement, philanthropy, community and government backing with education as the key.

About Us:

We currently represent artists from Taos, NM, Portland, OR, Medicine Lodge, KS, Emporia, KS, Wichita, KS, Hutchinson, KS, Pretty Prairie, KS, Cunningham, KS and are in the process of adding additional artisans from across the country. Mediums include fiber art, watercolor, oil, acrylic, graphite, print making, leather work, pottery and more. We offer classes in printmaking, watercolor, acrylic and are in talks with our large network of creators to commit to instructing additional classes at The Rural Muse. We have had requests to include music, dance, poetry, creative writing and more.

We also offer a safe, inclusive environment for fellow creatives to create, as well as a space for organizations and groups to meet. Our non-profit of choice is the Kingman County Humane Society. Come checkout our community table where you can paint a square for a small donation.
